Sophie's Goal
When Sophie was ten, her mother, Sheryll, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. Like most kids, Sophie was surprised and scared. But she was also determined; she wanted to do anything she could to help fight this disease and help others cope with it. She started with a lemonade stand, then created pink friendship bracelets, and now she’s formed “Sophie’s Goal” to band people together to support charities like Sister’s Hope.
Sophie, and others continue to be inspired by Sheryll’s strength. And today, Sheryll is doing great and works to educate women on early detection of breast cancer. Sophie has also turned her upcoming Bat Mitzvah into a fundraiser for Sophie’s Goal.
